Signature game: UNC v Ohio State
Overview:
Armondo Bacot is a classic Power Forward. He is efficient and skilled in the low post. But Bacot will need to add efficient mid ranging to increase his value. Bacot’s splits are 47 / –- / 67. Bacot is an exceptional rebounder and solid defender. However, he will need to space the floor with perimeter shooting if he is to become a rotational NBA player.

Offense:
Armondo Bacot is a classic Power Forward who has played in many big games including the NCAA championship game. Powerful and efficient Bacot has classic post moves; drop steps and jump hooks. Along with positional size and athleticism for the NBA level, Bacot also has good hands. He catches virtually everything his way even in tight quarters.
Bacot finds space and makes himself available for dump offs. He is an excellent finisher on short roll lobs of Pick and Roll.
All of Armondo Bacot’s Play Types are rated Very Good:
31% Post ups .9 Points Per Play, Very Good
18% Oboards 1.16 PPP, Very Good
15% Cuts 1.2 PPP, Very Good
12% Pick and Roll Roller 1.1 PPP, Very Good
With Jumpers accounting for only 6% of Bacot’s Shot Mix, it is imperative that he develop a face up game to space the floor. He can continue to be a rim runner, lob catcher and rim protector. But to be a viable NBA player he will need to develop a floor spacer.
Bacot moves well without the ball. 15% of his points come from Cuts which yield 1.2 Point Per Play, Very Good.

Wanna see
Improved face up mid ranging shooting
Improved elbow jumper
Assists and Decision Making
Armondo Bacot is a good passer. He has good touch and quickly finds open teammates.
Wanna See
Improved ball security
More advanced passing: weak side kick out, interior passing

Rebounding and defense
Bacot is a beast on the boards. Like all great rebounders he is excellent at tracking th ball in flight and going to where the ball will be. He gets tough rebounds despite being at the top of the scouting report to neutralize him. Bacot is head and shoulders above the rebounding averages of previously NBA drafted post players.
Defensively, given his instincts and IQ, Bacot should be a better shot blocker. For a post player, Bacot moves his size and feet really well. He keeps ball handlers in front of him, but when he is beaten he does not give up on the play. Handing off to teammates that he know will be there on help side..
Wanna see: Armondo Bacot
Continued high level rebounding production
Increase in blocks
Increase in steals
